Military Role: Served in the German Army (Heer). Commanded the II Battalion, Grenadier Regiment 191 of the 71st Infantry Division. Notable Recognition: Awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross on March 12, 1944, while holding the rank of Hauptmann (Captain). Awards & Decorations: Knight’s Cross (1944) Iron Cross (1st and 2nd Class)
