    Description “Prismatic Star” – Quilt KitPattern by QuiltworxColorway by Susan Deshensky using Island Batik Basics FINISHED SIZE: Large Throw: 68″ x 68″Queen w/Border Expansion: 99″ x 99″ *This quilt utilizes Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) techniques. Recommended for advanced skill level. KIT INCLUDES:All fabrics to create the top, including binding. All fabrics are labeled.     The optional paper pieced pattern includes instructions, cover sheet, yardage information, and all foundation papers.     Optional backings are shown in the last two photos. BACKING NOTES: The Pool backing is 42″/44″ WOF. The Confetti back is a 108″ wide back that has a black background with rainbow confetti.     Large Throw: Pool = 4.25 yards; Confetti = 2.125 yards     Queen: Pool = 9 yards; Confetti = 3 yards The Prismatic Star foundation papers and strip piecing processes were designed by Quiltworx in 2014.As one of our most popular patterns ever, we continually have to remake and update instructions.In 2017, we answered the requests of many customers to increase the size of this design.During that effort, Judy learned a few things about the pattern and made some changes.She increased the size of the diamonds slightly to allow for a larger sashing strip.And, she modified the way the sashing strips were sewn to the quilt in different rounds to make assembly easier.The updated diamond blocks have been incorporated into this version of the pattern.So, if you are in a workshop and your pattern looks different than your neighbors, don’t be concerned!Your quilt will assemble a bit different than theirs and also be slightly larger when it’s done.But, otherwise, it is the same technique and same quilt!The layout is 68” x 68” and includes (24) diamonds and a background.
